Exclusive: Extended Walking Dead Sneak Peek Confirms Time Jump, Mass Casualties and Terrifying New Enemy That’s ‘From Inside!’

Yeah, if it’s not zombies, or other people, what is it? Running out of food? That would eventually land in the category of ‘other people’, (Cannibalism gets pretty intense in the comics). What the hell is it? Fleas? Ugh, your guess is as good as ours. Anyway, check out the sneak peek!

The Walking Dead Season 4Rick and his battle-weary society of survivors on The Walking Dead are about to get the last thing they need — a new freakin’ threat that is “not really walkers” nor is it “other people,” co-executive producer Denise Huth teases in the following extended preview of the AMC smash’s fourth season (bowing Sunday, Oct. 13). “The relative safety that they’ve created at the prison begins to fall apart.”

Um, if it’s not zombies, and it’s not humans… Then what the hell is it?!

“You can’t put your finger on where it’s going to come next,” adds EP Greg Nicotero, allowing only that “it’s from the inside.”

That ominous spoiler is but one of the many newsworthy nuggets dispensed in the four-minute video, which, in addition to featuring interviews with the cast and EPs, includes…

‘The Walking Dead’: Watch an exclusive deleted scene with Lori as a zombie!

Oh, they SO should have left this in! Give me one valid reason for cutting this awesome scene out. ONE! I don’t own any of the boxed sets because I can’t afford them, but I’ll give them this: the deleted scenes are usually well worth including (even though they’re usually darker –and in some cases much more depressing– than the episode that was aired). This seems like something from the comics – there’s stuff in there so disturbing and wrong and fucked-up and brutal that the show will never be able to ‘go there’ (pretty confident that other long-time readers of the comics will definitely back me up on this one). However, this would have been a great compromise. We love it.

Exclusive: Walking Dead Season 4 Premiere Title Signals Time Jump; Plus: New Poster Unveiled

“Are Rick and his fellow survivors about to catch a much-needed break?” Well, let’s see. What temperature is it in Hell right now?

On the bright side, just look at Michonne on that poster, riding that horse! And is that Tyreese with his trademark hammer on the left? YEAH, baby!

The Walking Dead Season 4Are Rick and his fellow survivors about to catch a much-needed break?

TVLine has exclusively obtained the title of The Walking Dead‘s Season 4 premiere, and it points to both a lull in the zombie war and a time jump.

According to sources, Episode 401 — penned by new showrunner Scott M. Gimple — currently bears the title, “30 Days Without an Accident.”

What does it mean?! Herewith are some possible interpretations (some obvious, some less so):

* The show will skip ahead at least one month following the events of the Season 3 finale.

* Rick’s controversial decision to relocate the denizens of Woodbury to the prison is paying off on the safety front (i.e. 30 days without a zombie attack). It’s also creating a…

The Walking Dead: Lennie James Talks Return of Morgan; Plus, Exclusive Photos! (from EW.com)

This episode was The Walking Dead back on its A-Game, and a heart-breaker… and it wouldn’t have been half as good without Lennie James as Morgan.

Screen shot 2013-03-06 at 7.24.18 AM Lennie James, being modest about some AMAZING acting talent:

“It’s easy to shoot good script and good storytelling. Before I had to get my head into the unseen journey of Morgan, the writers had to get their heads into the unseen journey of Morgan. They had to join the dots long before I did. So in a weird way, my job was done for me and I just got to show up and have as much fun as was humanly possible in Atlanta with my mate Andy.”

Truthfully, they never tell us to scale back.  We pretty much go for it.  In Episode 10, when Daryl smashes the walkers with the crossbow and then smashes his head in the trunk of the car, since I’m directing second unit, a lot of times, I’ll go in and shoot those little accents later.  I’ll say, “Oh, this would be a great moment,” or “We need a little punch here, or little push here,” like tearing the face of the gas mask walker to see that hideous skull, or shit like that.

Greg Nicotero, on not scaling back with “Walker” kills (Hooray!)

If you’d rather read some great interviews Collider.com got to do–and they had great questions–before The Walking Dead Paleyfest Panel, which you can watch the actual footage of right here, and plenty of it-– we sure as hell found some! For the print interview w/Collider, click on the big red link below…

via THE WALKING DEAD Season 4 News from the Cast, Greg Nicotero, and Robert Kirkman at PaleyFest | Collider.

Among other topics, they discuss:

  • If Rick has totally lost his shit or not
  • Carl calling out Rick (last episode)
  • Mapping out Season 4 (including working on some make-up effects)
  • If Beth kissing Rick on the cheek was totally innocent or not (it was meant in a wholesome way, in case you’re wondering–phew)
  • and WAY, way more! If you’re a fan, it’s a must-read.

Enjoy! Here’s a really horrifying Walker (shown in a PR photo) that’ll be in Sunday night’s episode (insert your own corny joke about the importance of sunblock here)…

The Walking Dead’: Andrew Lincoln Talks All About The Midseason Finale’s Surprise Cameo

I admit, I missed it the first time around. There was already enough hell breaking loose in The Walking Dead mid-season finale, “Made To Suffer”, written by Robert Kirkman, and I had plenty of re-winding to do. Pretty cool interview, though!  If you want to read the Robert Kirkman EW.com review, it’s over here, and the interview with show-runner Glen Mazzara interview is here.  Enjoy!

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, February 10th, at 9PM Eastern.  ‘Talking Dead’ is also expanding from half-hour format to an hour!

The Walking Dead – Robert Kirkman Talks About Tonight’s Show, ‘When The Dead Come Knocking’ – From EW.com (Spoilers!)

I’m way more into American Horror Story, but tonight’s episode was fucking intense. Not to mention, I spent the whole time waiting in dread for Maggie or Glen’s hand to get chopped off, or for Maggie to get raped… plus I KNEW there would be a goddamned cliff-hanger, but when it came I still cursed loudly.  I’m going to pretty much support Greg Nicotero no matter what he works on, he’s earned my loyalty for life. Plus, Robert Kirkman deserves the attention he’s been getting …and I’ve had Vol. 17 on pre-order from Amazon for months now …though lately I hear it’s so brutal, I’m a little nervous about it, too. Enjoy!
