We remember Lance Reddick most from his role as Cedric Daniels on HBO‘s The Wire, and as John Basil (AKA Desmond Mobay) on HBO’s Oz (his characters didn’t smile much in either of those shows, to the point where we didn’t recognize him at first in the EW.com photo). He can look really scary when he wants to, and we can’t wait to see him as Papa Legba in American Horror Story Coven.
