Don’t Go To The Reunion

We haven’t seen this movie and “Who Goes There?” has. Since Egantor is clearly another BIG 80s horror boom geek, we couldn’t resist passing this on. In fact, we felt it was our duty. Hey, we 80s horror geeks gotta stick together… so read on for a great review and some helpful links!

Who Goes There?

Since hearing about Slasher Studios’ Don’t Go to the Reunion, I’ve been eagerly awaiting its release. As many of you know I am not a only a huge movie buff, but probably one of the biggest horror geeks ever. So when I learned about this movie through Twitter and Facebook, I knew it was something I had to get my hands on. Don’t Go to the Reunion is a true labor of love in every sense. It’s clear from the opening moments that everyone involved loves horror films, specifically the “slasher” sub-genre.

The plot is standard 80’s style slasher fare: It’s 2004 and Scott, a horror movie fanatic and resident geek at his high school, is constantly picked on by the popular kids. A mean prank leading him to believe he’ll be getting a date with his long-time crush (of course) goes terribly wrong and his life seems ruined…

‘True Blood’ season finale preview: Naked Eric, a significant time jump, and Jessica answering to Andy?

They BETTER GODDAMN NOT KILL PAM. Or Eric (though we doubt that’s going to happen-not if the showrunners have anything to do with it). Hey, on a more cheerful note… Alexander Skarsgard fans! Check this quote from the piece:

And yes, we will see Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), who appeared to leave town after his Vamp Camp murder spree and feeding Jason (Ryan Kwanten) his blood — for at least one scene. Buckner describes it as ”sexy and provocative,” adding, ”There’s definitely something for the ladies and the gay men. We might see a certain body part.” Sweet dreams, Jason?!

Our guesses for deaths are 1. Warlow 2. Violet (we can hope) and Bill… let’s face it, he’s sort of on his bonus round this season. We’re just REALLY happy that everyone’s going to end up on the same show again, and continue that with S7 in 2014.
Keep your fingers crossed…

‘The Walking Dead’: Watch an exclusive deleted scene with Lori as a zombie!

Oh, they SO should have left this in! Give me one valid reason for cutting this awesome scene out. ONE! I don’t own any of the boxed sets because I can’t afford them, but I’ll give them this: the deleted scenes are usually well worth including (even though they’re usually darker –and in some cases much more depressing– than the episode that was aired). This seems like something from the comics – there’s stuff in there so disturbing and wrong and fucked-up and brutal that the show will never be able to ‘go there’ (pretty confident that other long-time readers of the comics will definitely back me up on this one). However, this would have been a great compromise. We love it.
